Turn on the dark

Sandhead 2008

We stayed in a house this time. A lovely house blessed with two shower rooms and a sea view. A sea that came terribly close. Early days and the weather wasn't the best so we enjoyed the home comforts instead. We didn't do much visiting this time but still managed trips to the Lighthouse, Port Patrick, Gardens, the Forest, Stanraer and points in between. We had a week this time around so were more relaxed in our plans.

Galloway Waterfall.

My parents joined us for a few days. We waked into the Galloway forest and up to the Murray Monument. In amongst the tress we saw some lovely fungi and flowers. There were some weird heads in amongst some walls.

The house had a kitchen spread across two rooms; very annoying when making tea - having to fill the kettle in one room then boil it in the other but otherwise a charming affair. The crows behind never ceased their cawing but it only distracted when you were in the back garden.

We indulged in some Wii entertainment too for those times when the weather did do us any favours. Mostly we stuck to the basic sports games.

Another lovely holiday where the weather neither made nor ruined the holiday. And no hassle of any airports to deal with, nice.

Back to first visit.

Onto the third visit.
